About Us
UICON is a non-profit organization to facilitate transfer-of-technology and best business practices in the field of Traffic & Transportation that best benefit emerging economies like India and other developing countries. The Consortium will support transportation professionals in India to plan and provide safe, sound, and manageable transportation systems. The experience gained will be used to evolve a world model for providing viable transportation systems in other developing countries

Vision: Build a world model in technology transfer for providing viable transportation systems in India and other developing countries that lead to the development of global initiatives
Mission: Facilitate and support transportation professionals to come together to help build safe and efficient transportation systems in India and other developing countries
Goals:
• To help build an efficient transportation system that meets the needs of traveling public and movement of goods using state-of-the-art technologies
• To enable the development and implementation of transportation policies and programs agency-wide relating to core functions and processes of transportation agencies employing state-of-the-practice to plan and provide best possible transportation services
• To facilitate the adoption of best business practices to develop and deploy strategic planning and change management processes for effective and efficient operation of transportation agencies that are customer focused and stakeholder driven
• To enable technology transfer and international funding of transportation projects via comprehensive concepts and mechanisms and facilitate meaningful interaction between US and India and other developing countries involving governmental agencies, transportation industry and the academia
